Angus Cycling Club

Angus Cycling Club was established in 1882 and is one of the oldest cycling clubs in Scotland. We are a friendly social cycling club based in Forfar with regular leisurely club runs on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Our knowledge of the cycling routes and roads of Angus ranging from the foothills of the Cairngorms National park to the stunning coastline.

During the winter months runs are ad hoc with a lunch destination decided on the day, and from spring onward runs are planned and leave from various starting points to give extended variety of trips – see runs list. We meet at The East Greens Car Park in Forfar at 10am on Tuesdays and Fridays, and on Sundays we meet at Forfar Community Campus Car Park at 10am.

We regularly cycle within Angus, Tayside, Perthshire with extended runs to Fife, Aberdeenshire and beyond. And twice yearly we do weekend trips to popular cycle locations in Scotland, usually booking hostels or hotels.

We are an ageing club and cycle at a very sociable pace and members cycle a range of bikes, Road, touring, gravel and e-bikes and we welcome riders of all ages.
Cycling pace and distance is set to suit riders … and no one is left behind … if this appeals to you please come along and give it a try!
